To Our Northwest Indiana Neighbors –
Talking to friends, family, and each other, we realized the growing issues brought to the Region with the COVID-19 pandemic would continue to compound unless we started fighting back. While practicing the recommended social distancing, we came together to support our community and launch Northwest Indiana Strong.
NWIStrong.com is a directory website that is a free resource created by WeCreate Media for small businesses, non-profit organizations, and the Northwest Indiana communities that rely on them. In this time of uncertainty, we are bringing information and awareness to the Region like special hours for seniors and other at-risk groups, restaurants offering delivery and no-contact pickup, unemployment resources, and much more.
WeCreate isn’t just a part of the community because we all happen to work here – our team is made up of a cross-section of what makes Northwest Indiana a truly incredible place to call home. We are a local creative team that thrives on solving the most challenging of problems for our partners.
Our goal with NWI Strong is to become an important go-to resource during and following the COVID-19 pandemic. We will be working with towns, cities, medical professionals, and community leaders to connect those in need with the resources they require to thrive.
Before any official announcement, we had organic word-of-mouth submissions from every corner of the Region: Burns Harbor, Cedar Lake, Chesterton, Crown Point, De Motte, Gary, Griffith, Highland, Hobart, Lake Station, Lowell, Merrillville, Michigan City, Munster, Portage, Rensselaer, Saint John, Schererville, Valparaiso, and Whiting.
While we are working extremely hard to coordinate the NWI Strong brand efforts, we will be relying on you, our friends and partners in the Region, to help spread the word.
We will be posting once a day on our social platforms (Facebook + Instagram) to pass along various types of information given to us from local officials, medical professionals, and other community groups. If you have news that should be shared with the community, please reach out so we can work on getting that message to the Region.
The website will be updated frequently, including new features and options as we continue to rollout NWI Strong.
For now, we ask that you join us in supporting the Region, head to www.nwistrong.com, and submit your organization’s updated details to be shared in our Information Table, in addition to posting a social media update using the hashtag #NWIStrong.
